Jack and the viera appeared suddenly outside the Ruins of Zanarkand. Jack sat down and began fiddling with his head. Finally he got it on straight, and said. "Hey ears, Mind blasting me in the neck with some fire?" totally straight faced and with total seriousness. "Also you never told me your name." said jack as he closed his eyes and waited for the blast.

Novus looks at Jack "Yeah, I can, and oh, i apologize, I am Novus Illani" He states as he raises his arm and casts a small fire spell and shoots it at Jacks neck

Jack yelled out in pain as the Skin began to reattach itself. Jack felt around his neck to make sure everything was attached then he took out a bottle containing a red liquid out of his jacket and took three large glups he spilled a little on himself. "Nice to meet you novus. Hahaha I generally try not to lose my Head." Joked Jack as he wiped the red liquid of his coat. " so tell me. Why were you really in Nabudis. I know the normal path is closed but nabudis doesnt take you to were you were headed does it."

Novus looks down slightly "Yea, I had another reason to be in Nabuis, I heard there was some treasure there, valuable.. and Im poor.. so I thought I could sneak in there and claim it for myself.." Novus laughs lightly "I bit off more than I could chew by myself.. Probably would be dead if you hadnt shown up" Looking at Jack, a serious look on his face now.

Jack began laughing. "Is that all!!!! HAHAHHAHAHA" Said jack as he tried to control his laughter. "Well glad you burnt that bugger to a crisp. As you helped me get what i was there for" Jack held up a what looked like a small glass orb. "This is called the Eye of the Mistant." He said as he looked at it.

Looks at Jack and then the orb "Eye of the Mistant.. Ive never heard of it." Novus steps lightly once then cringes "Ugh..." Reaches up and touches his shoulder, and then looks at his hand, now with alil of his own blood on it "I.. got hit.." Novus states and reaches into his pouch, and grabs a potion and a band of cloth. Slowly drinks the potion and cringes "I hate the taste of these.." And then slowly wraps the cloth around his wound and ties it tight. Then Novus looks back at Jack "So, why do you need te orb? and also, ive been wanting to ask, what is with your necklace?" he asks sorta bluntly


OOC: -1 Potion

Jack sat back and played with the Dark stone that was strung around his neck. "So you really wanna know bout this thing huh?" Said Jack as he watched Novus Start to make a fire. "Yes, Please." Said Novus as he lit the small pile of sticks with a fireball.

"This is what is called a Nightshard, Its one of two in existence," Said Jack As he moved closer to the fire. "Its the only thing that keeps my Darkness at bay, Its the Only thing that's keeping the Jack you see right now, Here." Jack continued as he Held his hands up to the fire. " Would you like to hear the story of how our worlds became Joined?" Said Jack suddenly after staring into the fire for many minutes.


"I thought it was the Rift," Said Novus as he sat down next to Jack. " True there was the Rift, and that happened about 500 years ago, But" said Jack gaining the curiosity of the young viera, "That wasnt the first time these worlds became open. I shall tell you how it all began......

"Then, Great Calamity struck again." said Jack as he looked up at the stars. "Three of the Doorways became unlocked and The War of the Rift, as you know happened." Said jack as he looked at the Viera. "And after the war the Races lived in peace, Knowledge of each other nothing but a bad memory....."

Novus looks at the fire for a little bit, and then looks back at Jack "How.. do you know all of this?" Novus asks quietly, looking at Jack. Novus shivers lightly and looks towards the ruins of Zanarkand, and whispers somthing lightly to himself, and then looks back at Jack

"I'm practically immortal, So i read alot." Jack said with a smirk. "hey kid where you going." said Jack loudly as he chased after Novus. "Didn't your mother ever teach you don't play in ruins?"

"I sense somthing there.." Novus states bluntly as he runs towards the ruins. After a little time of running, Novus stands at the entrance to the ruins. "The.. mist is thick here.. just like Nabudis.." He states to himself, and then turns to Jack, to wait for him.

Jack stood up and gathered his things. "Im coming, Im coming." He said grumpily. "Fine we'll go hunt this big ol baddy, that you seem to be sensing." Jack walked up to the Viera and looked up at the Ruins of Zanarkand, he watched as pyreflies glided around him "Well Shall we?" he said as he walked toward the Entrance.

"Yes." Is all Novus states as he walks into the ruins, Pyreflies flowing around him and Jack. "I.. sense.. a strong.. presence.. like.. it will take over me." Novus states unemotionally, walking in pace with Jack, as they head to the Center of the the ruins

Jack followed novus. he too started to sense the dark force inside. "Kid, I aint gunna lie, theres some major evil here. I can sense it I hope you know what your getting us into" Said Jack as he readied his sword Just incase they managed to piss something off.

Novus laughs lightly, still walking forward "You sense how evil it is now? Ive.. noticed it since we got here, but you were talking, and when i ran of, thats when it.. got alot stronger." Novus states as he pulls out an arrow and notches it, just as an Ahriman Bat Eye flies around the corner and charges them. Novus quickly aims and fires, nailing the bat in the wing, making it fall down incapacitated. He takes out another arrow and notches it, looking around "Jack, I fear we may be surrounded soon.." Novus states, looking around at the ruins, waiting for somthing to pop out

"For Fucks sake," Yelled Jack as he slashed at a Malboro just before it unleashed Bad Breath "What did I say we dont go playing around in Ruins, and god that stinks," continued Jack as He stabbed another in the mouth. "Oh well Its not like I ever sleep anyways."
