A few things will turn you into a werewolf, being bitten by an already changed werewolf. Another way of producing a werewolf, although less common, is a child being born to a werewolf. The child would start having transformations at puberty but they would always become werewolves. There is no chance of a child born to even just one werewolf not becoming a werewolf. It is a dominant trait and there is no cure.

Werewolves turn every month on the full moon. The change is painful and violent and some werewolves don't make it through the first transformation without medical treatment. The transformation is so violent that the clothes on their back are practically shredded. They transform into a small or large wolf depending on their size. If they're a 6 foot tall male with black hair in human form then they'll be a large wolf with black hair. If they're a 4 foot female with red hair in human form then they'll be a small wolf with red hair. The eyes of a wolf are varying shades of silver. Darker silver for darker eyes, lighter silver for lighter eyes.


In wolf form the werewolf has all the senses of the wolf and incredible strength and speed. They heal quickly and are difficult to kill but are wounded almost permanently from fights with other werewolves. The word to say you've read the info for werewolves is bloodmoon. Otherwise there is no scar. Scars from previous fights (no matter what kind) before becoming a werewolf are not healed and will remain unless magically removed. In human form a werewolf is stronger than a normal human and has heightened senses. Not as much as in wolf form but still a difference.

A wolf gets blood-lust just like a vampire only when it gets too bad or if the werewolf gets extremely angry, they do a partial transformation; including eyes, teeth and nails. Their senses also go toward the wolf side but the partial transformation takes out a lot of energy and can not be sustained for long periods of time even though it can be done any time. The mind also goes more wolfish during this time and is harder to control. Wolves have help with this though with clans of werewolves. The top werewolves are the alphas and there are always one female alpha and one male alpha in the group to keep peace with the sexes and to help deal with the issues pertaining to the certain genders (i.e. a female werewolf might not want to go to the male alpha to talk about sex). The alphas are the strongest, the smartest and the best out of the clan.

A wolf can have varying levels of wolf instinct depending on age and the emotional status before being transformed. Some inner wolves are almost impossible to control and the wolf almost needs to be put down. Potions can help reduce the violence of the inner wolf but the extremely violent wolf becomes dependent on the potion and sometimes seeps into daily life. Werewolves only die from excessive amounts of silver, powerful spells, major blood loss and old age. Silver can be in the bloodstream for a short period of time but needs to be removed.
