Jack sat in the quiet solitude of his dimly lit study, a wine glass held in one hand, a ancient looking book he held in the other. He sipped on his wine as he removed a fountain pen from his desk drawer. The book he sat on the desk as he set the glass down and snapped his fingers, a candle flickered to life.

Jack picked up the pen and flipped to the next empty page of the torn book. The book he always kept with him at all times. He began writing in it…

Such is this the memories of old and hallowed times. The times of darkness once held deep within my heart, such is the nature of this time in my life that I had sworn never to forget those days of yesteryear. I the Captain of The Legion of Vampires have taken the lives of many. The decent into darkness begins on the night of Nov. 21st 456years ago….

Jack stood looking out from high atop the sounds of war rang out far in the distance. He tapped his fingers methodically thinking the next plan of action. “Commander, what is the status of the blockade?” He asked as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial of blood, He quickly drank it then turned to the Commander. “ I asked you a question.” He said with fire in his eyes.

“Well sir, the blockade is holding for now, Though I do not know how long we can hold the Human Mages at bay, Also there are reports the wolves are planning a pact with the humans. We must stop them here.” Said the Commander from under his helmet. “Well then we shall have to make an appearance, After all I was starting to get bored up here, I want action too.” Said Jack with a smile, as he grabbed his sword.

"Joining with these humans is a foolish idea." Rieka said as she addressed the council. "Humans are not to be trusted, and to join with them will drag us deeper into a war in which we do not belong. If you decide to go through with this the Eteri clan will not be involved. We will return to out lands on the Northern Shore and leave you to your demise. I have spoken." Rieka turned back to her chair her cloak billowing after her. She sat down and eyed the other leaders. They bent their heads together in deliberation.

Finally the eldest, Konin, stood to address the council. "We will delay the pact for 3 days to see how the tides go. We will meet again on noon of the third day. The council is adjourned." He turned and went out the door, Rieka shook her head, Konin's hatred of the vampires will lead to the destruction of the werewolf nation, of this she was sure.
