Balamb Garden

Founded 12 years Ago by Cid and Edea Kramer and funded by NORG, Balamb Garden was built atop an ancient Centra structure which gives the Garden the ability to transform into a mobile form which has the power of limited flight. Shortly after its construction, Galbadia Garden and Trabia Garden were created on the Galbadian and Trabian continents, respectively. Specializing in Guardian Force training and para-magic use, Balamb Garden is also the only Garden authorized to conduct the SeeD field exam, which all Garden cadets must pass in order to join the ranks of SeeD. Cadets attending other Gardens must transfer to Balamb in order to complete this final requirement.

Fishermans Horizon

It is located midway between the eastern and western continents aside the large intercontinental bridge. The town is filled with fishermen and skilled mechanics. Some of these mechanics helped build Balamb Garden. The town is neutral, so fighting is not allowed.

Galbadia Garden

Twelve years before the start of the game, Cid Kramer and his wife, Edea Kramer founded the Garden organization. They constructed Balamb Garden on the island of Balamb, and Galbadia Garden was built shortly thereafter. The Galbadian installation decided to focus its training program on technological aspects of combat rather than magic. Unlike Balamb Garden which attempts to maintain political independence, Galbadia Garden has long enjoyed a close association with the Galbadian government and its military.

Ultimecia Castle

Ultimecia Castle becomes accessible when Sorceress Ultimecia compresses time into a world where only she can live. However, Time Compression never fully occurs—it is temporarily halted by Ellone—and the party is able to counteract it simply by believing each other exist. Transport to and from Ultimecia's world and the normal world can be done via five portals which appear in various locations.The Castle is constructed as a maze-like structure to try and confuse the player. Many powerful Fiends still reside here. VIP ONLY AREA!!!
