Head Admin: The Thankless Job

This job of being Head Admin is a lonely one often than not. Most users and staff think that we just sit upon our throne and bark orders, and dont post. Thats not true, We do sooooo much more than that. It just isnt visible to the untrained eye.

We set staring at mountains of code searching for that perfect fix that will make the forum run even better. We fix the many things that go wrong before they are even noticed by the masses. (an example of this is the Avitar malfunction)

We read countless stacks of how to guides, and even write our own guides. We go through the forums cleaning and organizing making sure that everything is in its place. We work hard at advertising the forum. This task alone takes 1-2hours. we update the facebook and twitter pages, make sure the statistics and money making things are in place (FOR GODS SAKE CLICK THE ADS ABOVE THE CHATBOX, Plz) We stay up late thinking of fun and unique activities to keep things rolling.

We head admins are truly masters of Multitasking, With a sword in one hand and a book in the other we argue with Forum code. Often losing our minds before we finally become successful. Tis true we shirk our posting responsibilities but we have other more important things to do, in order to make it easier for you the members to have a functioning forum.

We are the nurse's, the fixers, the janitors, the police, the helping hand, the welcoming arm, the brains, the grease, the ever watchful eyes. We are so many things. We lurk in the shadows, tinkering and bettering the site.

It's part of who we are but no-one notices the hard work and sweat we put forth, we wish for a thanks thats all. But I suppose this too will fall upon Deaf ears. For we are but an illusion...
