Entry One

Good evening!
I use that term loosely, of course.

At my last stop I made sure to grab some writing tools, just as an experiment. It gets awfully boring here and now... then and there... when and wherever it is that I go to. I find it extraordinary that I can carry a bow, a pen, and some paper with me through time, but I can't seem to keep hold of my body. Even more fascinating is the fact that I can put this pen to the paper and write words and thoughts while traveling. This place never has made much sense to me.

Anyway, here I am again, floating around in the ocean of time. Well, not right now. There is no now, unless you're talking about all that has happened, all that is happening, and all that is yet to happen, as if it were all the same thing. But, then, where (or more correctly when) am I at now? This existance between worlds, between seconds, has no designated place or time to which it is contained. No. Instead, it is the pool in which everything else is held.

I wonder if there are others like it.

Entry Two

This journal that I am keeping is not unlike this plane that I am in. It does not feel the passing of time. Sure, it may become tattered and decay as time passes, but it can still be opened and written in, just as it was many years ago.
I suspect this place also decays. It becomes imbalanced as it interacts with the worlds and times that float within it. The result of this decay could potentially be catastrophic to everything that ever has and ever will exist.
I hope it's possible to patch up the holes...

Entry Three

I was out again.
I lived, grew, loved, and lost. And here I am again.
It was a good life, at least, and long. Longer than most of them. Very peaceful, too.
I almost forgot about this place.
Compared to the time I spend here (for lack of better words), it feels like I was only gone for a few days.
67 years, gone, pointless now.
I wonder how they feel, the people I left behind.
I wonder what's next.

Entry Four

The key.
Yes, I've found the key. A way to open the door between this world and all others. At least, I hope so.

I was exploring (well, wandering around lost, actually) as well as one can explore in an immaterial plane, when suddenly I stumbled upon this strange spherical, crystalline object. How it got here is a very good question. How to activate is another one.

I suppose it could just be some kind of shiny rock...

Entry Five

This place is engulfing me. I can feel it. Very slowly, I am becoming the very essence of this Void between time. It's fascinating.
I should try to learn how to control it. There is so much power to be had. Possibly an infinite amount. Considering a number of possible alternatives, I think I would prefer infinite power.
I will continue studying this crystal. I would have simply abandoned it, but I feel drawn toward it. I believe it is a concentrated mass of the essence that makes up this place, the very essence that is attacking me. I know it holds unspeakable power, but only a fraction of what I will eventually be able to achieve.

Entry Six

I did it!
I was in a desert, just hangin' out, you know, like I always do, when a huge-ass worm came out of nowhere and tried to eat me! Of course, being the quick thinker that I am, I used what magic I had to fend it off. But it wasn't quite enough.
Not enough, that is, until I was forced to enter one of my own portals. It was either that, or fight the beast from within. A fate which I would rather not be a part of.
Inside of the portal was no different than where we are now. I was very pleasantly surprised. Even more so when I saw exits to other portals I had made nearby! I could choose from any of them at all. It was fantastic! That damn worm never stood a chance against me!
But it was not all wonderful. In my transition from the desert to the room of portals, I passed through a strange, terrible hallway. It was pure darkness, piercing cold, and radiated evil. I could feel it attempting to tear apart my very soul. What an awful thing to fight through every time I wish to travel freely.
And still, I am gaining power. I can feel the ability to manipulate Time and Space itself growing within me.

It feels good.

Entry Seven

I fear my constant traveling is also affecting the physical worlds to which I travel.
There will always be the occasional paradox and other threats to the constantly-splitting timeline, but those events are unavoidable and destined to happen anyway. Bigger things than even that are occurring. Every time I open a portal, space is torn apart from itself, and stitched together with space of a different type. The two types of space reject one another, and can cause terrible reactions if they are left together for too long. Then, after traveling, the new stitch is ripped apart again, and space is patched back together. But that area of space will always have a weak seam, and could certainly be a threat to the security of not only our own world, but also those whose existance we can not even begin to conceive.

For this reason, I am reluctant to use my new ability to travel at will.


But it's just too damn cool to resist.

Entry Eight

My memory is failing. I feel as if I can't remember things that I knew only yesterday. It can't be age. I'm not that old, and this has never happened to me before. Perhaps it is another side-effect of the weakening of space. As the infinite worlds become more and more torn apart, my memories of the other worlds begins to deteriorate. If a world becomes completely removed from the rest, it will cease to have ever existed, and all memories of it will be destroyed. Not to mention, a massive chain reaction will likely follow, tearing off even more worlds.
I must be sure to keep my journal updated, for my mind's sake.

Entry Nine

Everyone needs a father. I've had several, myself. Most of them by adoption when I found myself a child again in a strange world. But there must be an original. People don't just pop into existance. Has his world already been destroyed? No. If that were the case, I would also cease to exist, and some incredibly uncomprehensible paradox would be created, with the uncreation of the man who caused all the damage in the first place. It has simply been too long. A human's mind isn't meant to remember something from so long ago.
Perhaps the memories will come back to me, eventually.

Entry Ten

What a fascinating woman.
I've seen things in other worlds that are similar to the things she can make. I wonder if this knowledge is flowing to this world through the cracks, or if she is really so extraordinarily gifted. Whatever the case, I'm sure there are others out there who can do the things she does. Knowledge like this usually spawns in the minds of several people at the same time, especially if I'm correct in assuming that it's sneaking in from other worlds.
Perhaps she can use her Engineering skills to help me learn more about my own abilities, and maybe even to control them.
