who is your favorite Character from Final fantasy VII? and why?

Personally I think Sephiroth is the best FFVII character as he is amazingly powerful, he managed to Control Clouds mind, He Killed one of the main characters, and he is just all round badass. . . and you gotta have mad skills to use the Mesamune.

I really like Tifa and she's my favorite character, her personality is really awesome and she kicks ass. >.>

as for male characters I would say Cloud, he was my fav. character at the beginning >.>

Sephiroth is quite cool but I would say my favorite as a Villain.

None. My vote goes to Tseng of the Turks. I think he's quite handsome, and I love how he bitchslaps Aerith in the plane ;D

I vote for Aerith, I've always had a soft spot for her, and for some reason she just sticks out as the best character in my mind. I was gutted at the end of disk one, absolutely gutted D=

Barret, the way they try to portray an gangsta' black man just cracks me up, the way he talks and the things he says quite literally make me lol. Sephiroth comes in a close second but the way people go overhype on his ass kinda puts me off him >.>

My favourite FF7 character has to be Cid.
A smoking,flying, spear wielding astronaut just somehow makes him my favourite character,and also I think his limit breaks where excellent especially the one where he called down the highwind. Twisted Evil

Sephiroth for me, Cloud is awesome, but Sephiroth is just to epic, and beats everyone. Plus he has some epic forms and attacks, (super nova anyone?) so yea, Sephy ftw! Who doesnt like the worlds most badass mommas boy?
